Auto show season is in full swing, and one thing we love at Griffin Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM is seeing brands unveil upcoming models. During the Detroit International Auto Show in January, the RAM brand released the new 2019 RAM 1500 and it sets the benchmark for durability, technology, and efficiency.
This beloved pickup has received numerous revolutionary and technical changes. The 2019 RAM 1500 is now equipped with many features never before offered in a pickup! There are significant gains in fuel efficiency with a new eTorque mild hybrid system on second generation 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 and 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engines. This system adds a 48-volt battery pack to enable quick and seamless start/stop function which improves responsiveness and efficiency. This is the widest use of mild hybrid technology in the segment!
There are changes to the design and structure of the RAM 1500 as well. It is now 225 pounds lighter, with a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds. The next generation, class-exclusive air suspension enhances fuel efficiency, improves ride and gives greater off-road capability, load-leveling and entry/exit convenience.
